Brief Description of the Position
Manages PHIVOLCS official social media accounts;
Monitors social media acounts, including periodic reporting status and significant comments requiring immediate attention/action;
Writes press releases and articles for media, public information, and PHIVOLCS and DOST publications;
Layouts the bimonthly PHIVOLCS newspaper clippings;
Assists in the conduct of media briefings;
Participates in the conduct of project activities and research works;
Participates in the preparation of data/references for materials development and dissemination;
Performs other functions as may be assigned from time to time

Qualification Standards
Education
Bachelor's degree relevant to the job.
Graduates of BS Communication (Mass Communication, Development, Research, Journalism) or Geoscience-related course (Geology, Geography, Environmental Science) are encouraged to apply.
