Job Description:
Supports the Supervising Science Research Specialist in managing GIS specialists and IT/development teams for the GeoRisk Integrated platform and tasks
Administers and maintains the SQL database architecture
Oversees development of relevant applications and dashboards for hazards and risk assessments
Ensures security of IT systems and develops maintenance plans for IT systems
Provides professional support and services related to GeoRiskPH-related holdings such as hardware, application software, network, database, and other associated system. Identifies and develops strategies for mitigating operational inefficacies
Drives continuous improvement through data analytics, research, testing, ang prototyping, as well as analysis of user behavior, online traffic, and business results related to the GeoRiskPH
Collaborates with other SQL database users to research and assess new technology and developments to modify, enhance, and resolve issues with existing systems. Explores and proposes new business cases to ensure efficiency and sustainability of initiatives
Meets regularly with stakeholders to identify how SQL database technologies can enhance operational functions
Develops monitoring tool to meet system requirements
Collaborates with other senior staff and other stakeholders
Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time
Educational Background
Preferably Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science/ Geology, Geodetic Engineering or any related courses are encouraged to apply
Experience/Training/Competency
Preferably with experience in managing development of databases, geodatabases or other related IT or RS/GIS work
