Distribution and Earthquake Potential of Tectonic Structures and Active Faults (DETect Faults) Project


Contract Duration:
March – June 2023 (can be renewed if performance is at least satisfactory)


Job description:
■ Use of GIS software to create and manipulate vector and raster data, automate routine processes, develop and manage workflows
■ Assist in processing and analyzing remote-sensing data
■ Interpret landforms related to active faulting and tectonic structures
■ Compile related literature and existing datasets needed for analysis of active faults and improving methodology
■ Assist in data collection during fieldworks and site surveys
■ Manage and process post-fieldwork data
■ Assist in creating presentations
■ Assist in writing technical reports
■ Assist in building and populating database
■ Contribute ideas during meetings and reviews
■ Performs other tasks that may be assigned

 

○ Educational background
■ Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Geography, Geodetic Engineering or any related courses are encouraged to apply

 

○ Required skills and qualities
■ Knowledge in any GIS software
■ Basic knowledge in data management and Microsoft office
■ Mapping skills
■ Science research, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
■ Good technical report writing skills

Job description:
■ Administers travel and other FAD-related documents (Travel Order, IT, Procurement, Cash Advance, etc.)
■ Assist in coordination and communication with concerned LGUs
■ Coordinates and documents scheduled activities to ensure delivery of results on time
■ Performs other tasks that may be assigned

 

○ Educational background
■ Completion of 2 years of studies in college

 

○ Required skills and qualities
■ Demonstrates good communication and interpersonal skills
■ Computer literate
■ Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
■ Attention to details
