Name of Project:
Coastal Assessment, Mapping, and Research of Tsunami Hazards in the Philippines (CoAst PH)
Contract Duration:
April – June 2023 (can be renewed if performance is at least satisfactory)
Job description:
■ Compile related literature and existing datasets for tsunami hazard modeling
■ Pre-processing remote sensing data (LiDAR, IfSAR and aerial photos) for tsunami modeling
■ Conduct fieldwork and site survey
■ Use GIS software to create and manipulate vector and raster files, automate routine processes, and layout maps
■ Assist in writing technical reports
■ Assist in creating technical review presentations
■ Present results in technical reviews and other forum
■ Performs other tasks that may be assigned
○ Educational background
■ Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Geodetic Engineering or any related courses are encouraged to apply
○ Required skills and qualities
■ Knowledge in GIS, basic CMD commands is preferred.
■ Basic knowledge in data management and Microsoft Office
■ Good technical report writing skills
■ Mapping Skills
