Contract of Services under Geology Geophysics Research and Development Division (GGRDD) assigned at Volcano Geology, Geochemistry and Geophysics Research and Development Section

 

Name of Project:
Evaluation and Determination of Eruption Potential of the Philippine Volcanoes (EDEPPV)

 

Contract Duration:
May – June 2023 (can be renewed if performance is at least satisfactory)


Job description:
■ Responsible for collating and archiving of volcano-related technical and administrative documents and records as coordinated with the section project and component leaders
■ Generate approved schema for easy access of archived volcano information
■ Provide fieldwork assistance, if needed, such as logistics coordination, correspondences, and documentation
■ Provide administrative assistance such as preparation and closing of travel documents, drafting of work instructions or guidelines, and scribing minutes of meetings
■ Performs other tasks that may be assigned, especially during volcano-related emergencies and may not exclusively project related

 

○ Educational background
■ Bachelor’s Degree in Geology or any physical science-related courses are encouraged to apply

 

○ Required skills and qualities
■ Background in basic Earth Science
■ Close attention to details
■ Computer literacy
■ With good interpersonal skills
■ Professional license or relevant certification is an advantage
■ Proven working experience is an advantage
