Science Research Specialist I

 

Brief Description of the Position
• Generates maps and graphs for analytics;
• Develops work packages for GeoRiskPH;
• Assists the Senior SRS and SRS II in disseminating information to partner agencies in GeoRiskPH;
• Assists in developing RS-and GIS related outputs for DOST-PHIVOLCS and GeoRiskPH-related initiatives;
• Specializes on GIS/RS R&D and produces GIS/RS-related products and services in connection to hazards, vulnerability and risk studies of GeoRiskPH;
• Supports GeoMapperPH;
• and supports the National Exposure Database Program;
• Support risk and policy R&D initiatives;
• Assists in hazards mapping; Conducts fieldworks and lectures;
• Publishes papers in peer-reviewed journals;
• Perform other functions as may be assigned

Qualification Standards
Education
Bachelor's degree relevant to the job.
Graduates of BS Geology, Geography, Geodetic Engineering or any related courses are encouraged to apply.
