July - December 2023 (can be renewed if performance is at least satisfactory)
Job description:
■ Performs RS/GIS analyses for coastal studies and exposure database development
■ Performs GIS techniques for suitability models
■ Performs related vulnerability, exposure, hazard analyses, as may be required
■ Generates relevant products of maps resulting from relevant workshops/ design thinking activities
■ Assists in the development and population of GeoMapperPH: Situation Data Mapper during emergency situations
■ Generated relevant reports; submits minutes of meeting attended
■ Conducts fieldwork, as may be necessary
■ Assists and conducts lectures, as may be necessary
■ Performs other tasks that may be assigned
○ Educational background
■ Bachelor’s Degree in Geology or any related courses are encouraged to apply
○ Required skills and qualities
■ Knowledgeable and skilled in GIS applications, preferably ArcGIS
■ Background on Model Building is an advantage
■ Can work independently and collaborate with co-workers and other stakeholder
