Name of Project:

Earthquake Ground Shaking and Landslide Information and Research in Philippines (Slip)-EIL Component

 

Contract Duration:
November – December 2023


Job description:

  • Create and manipulate vector files, automate routine processes and develop and manage workflows
  • EIL Hazard modelling using ArcGIS
  • Compile Landslide (earthquake and rain-induced landslide) inventory database, and assist in building database schema and developing methods for landslide analysis
  • Conduct RS interpretations for landslides and for other related studies
  • Conduct R&D and assist in writing technical reports
  • Other tasks related to the completion of this project
  • The staff will conduct fieldwork, if needed

 

Educational background:

  • Graduates of BS Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or any Physical Science-related fields are encouraged to apply.

Required skills and qualities:

  • Knowledgeable in any GIS software
  • Good technical report writing
  • Background in geomorphology, geology and landslide modeling
  • Basic science research, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Basic knowledge in data management and Microsoft office
