Job description:
- Performs RS / GIS analyses for coastal studies and exposure database development
- Performs GIS techniques for suitability models
- Performs related vulnerability, exposure, hazard analyses, as may be required
- Generates relevant products or maps resulting from relevant workshops/design thinking activities
- Assists in the development and population of GeoMapperPH: Situation Data Mapper during emergency situations
- Generates relevant reports; submits minutes of meetings attended
- Conducts fieldwork, as may be necessary
- Assists and conducts lectures, as may be necessary
- Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time
Educational background
- Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job
Required skills and qualities
- Knowledgeable and skilled in GIS applications, preferably ArcGIS Background on Model Building is an advantage
- Can work independently and collaborate with co-workers and other stakeholders
