Job description:

  • Performs RS / GIS analyses for coastal studies and exposure database development
  • Performs GIS techniques for suitability models
  • Performs related vulnerability, exposure, hazard analyses, as may be required
  • Generates relevant products or maps resulting from relevant workshops/design thinking activities
  • Assists in the development and population of GeoMapperPH: Situation Data Mapper during emergency situations
  • Generates relevant reports; submits minutes of meetings attended
  • Conducts fieldwork, as may be necessary
  • Assists and conducts lectures, as may be necessary
  • Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time

 

Educational background

  • Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job

Required skills and qualities

  • Knowledgeable and skilled in GIS applications, preferably ArcGIS Background on Model Building is an advantage
  • Can work independently and collaborate with co-workers and other stakeholders
