The PHIVOLCS-funded project Development of Early Warning Systems for Landslides, also known as the DYNASLOPE Project, is a multidisciplinary endeavor addressing the problem of landslide risk. The project is composed of instrumentation engineers, software engineers, civil engineers, geologists, social scientists, and community developers working together towards the development of a community-based early warning system for landslides.

Job Description
● 24/7 technical support to provide continuous assistance and resolution for urgent bugs and script issues that may occur in our software or application.
● Daily monitoring of monitoring and information application (MIA) backend scripts
● Maintenance of analysis and alert generation scripts
● Database management
● Perform agile framework and SCRUM
● OpenStack: Cloud server management
● ReadySpace: Cloud server and Security management
● Development of new features and modules for MIA web application
● Build and deploy the web application to the rack server (x.50)
● Software dependencies update quarterly, and MIA backend libraries update quarterly
● Maintain and ensure 24/7 operation of ReadySpace Instance for CBEWS-L Lipata, Marirong, and Umingan
● Daily monitoring of CBEWS-L (Community-based Early Warning System for Landslide) of Lipata, Samar)
Educational Background
● BS Information Technology, BS Computer Science, or any programming related course
Experience/Training/Competency
● Proficient in Ubuntu / Windows / CentOS Server; At least 3 year of experience in GIT; At Least 3 year of experience in Websocket protocols
● Has an experience in Agile Framework; Proficient in Python / Flask / React JS/ React Native, Django and Nodejs;
● Has an experience in Web Design; CSS, Bootstrap framework, Material UI
● Has landslide monitoring experience with Data analysis and Community relations for at least 3 year;
● Has experience with Embedded Linux system; Has experience in Highcharts.js;
● Has experience in MySQL and sqlalchemy (ORM);
● Has experience in Django-models (ORM);
● Has experience in POSTMAN (API Testing platform)

Job description
● conduct field surveys
● conduct quick-response surveys
● create maps, reports, documentation, and technical papers related to team outputs
● conduct research related to landslide scenario
● assist in the conduct of seminars and consultations
● participate in meetings and workshops facilitated for the whole project
● accomplish administrative documents related to the project, such as pre- and post-fieldwork requirements and monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) requirements
● conduct work related to the implementation of early warning system protocol, such as monitoring of the Project sites
Educational background
● At least a Bachelor's degree in geology or civil engineering
Work Experience
● preferably, licensed professional
● preferably has experience in a relevant field, engineering geology or geotechnical engineering
● preferably has experience in landslide hazard assessment and/or DRRM work
● preferably, competent in GIS
● preferably has knowledge and/or experience in remote sensing, synthetic-aperture radar (SAR) applications, and/or engineering geological models
Required skills and qualities
● knowledgeable and skilled in GIS applications and/or field-based landslide investigations
● knowledgeable and skilled in geologic mapping and/or basic slope stability analysis
● can and willing to go on long and frequent fieldworks
● can and willing to conduct fieldwork in difficult terrain
● has good report/research writing skills
● can and willing to render monitoring work even at nights, weekends, or holidays
● can work independently
● demonstrates good communication and interpersonal skills
