The PHIVOLCS-funded project Development of Early Warning Systems for Landslides, also known as the DYNASLOPE Project, is a multidisciplinary endeavor addressing the problem of landslide risk. The project is composed of instrumentation engineers, software engineers, civil engineers, geologists, social scientists, and community developers working together towards the development of a community-based early warning system for landslides.

One (1) Project Technical Specialist I for Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning
Monthly Salary: PhP 47,606
Job Description:
- Assist in project monitoring and evaluation and learning;
- Assist in the design implementation of data gathering tools and activities, and facilitate evaluation and reporting to pertinent stakeholders;
- Participate in meetings and workshops facilitated for the whole project;
- Coordinate project concerns and logistics with the community and other relevant stakeholders;
- Conduct pre- and post-fieldwork administrative tasks;
- Conduct work related to the implementation of early warning system protocol; and
- Provide regular feedback to the Project staff and management committee pertinent to quality and timely delivery of output.
Educational Background
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Community Development, Communications, Public Administration or related social science fields or BS Statistics, Economics, Electronics and Communications Engineering, BS Electrical Engineering, BS Computer Engineering, BS Applied Physics, BS Library Science, BS Geology, BS Physics, Math or related field.
Experience/Training/Competency
- At least one year experience in conducting project monitoring and evaluation and conduct of research pertaining to monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (framework, plan, tools);
- Experience in impact assessment is a plus;
- Preferably, with experience in any research institution is a plus;
- At least one (1) year experience in conducting seminars for grassroots communities on topics related to landslides or DRRM work.
One (1) Project Technical Specialist I for Landslide Risk Awareness and Preparedness Community Mobilization and Learning

Job Description
- Conduct research (both process and output) pertaining to the implementation of Community Based Early Warning System for Landslides (CBEWS-L) in the context of People centered Early Warning System (PEWS) and Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRRM);
- Conduct relevant activities related to mainstreaming for the institutionalization of CBEWS-L Facilitate and co-lead capacity building activities related to PEWS, response capability, gender & inclusivity, governance & institutionalization, and organization development with the community and other relevant stakeholders;
- Coordinate activities and output with the teams pertaining to capacity building initiatives, PEWS, CBEWS-L;
- Lead in the development and updating of learning materials for IECs;
- Conduct relevant capacity building activities related to implementation of EWS-L;
- Conduct pre- and post- fieldwork administrative tasks;
- Conduct work related to implementation of early warning system protocol;
- Perform other duties that may be required by the project.

- Submit necessary individual/team/group documents to MEAL
Educational Background
- Bachelor's degree in education, community development, communications, public administration or related social science fields
Experience/Training/Competency
- at least one (1) year experience in community education, organizing, resource mobilization
- Experience working with multi stakeholder groups on topics related to DRRM and development work.
- Preferably with knowledge and skills in facilitating grassroots initiative on topics related to landslides or DRRM work;
- Demonstrate good seminar facilitation skills;
- Demonstrate good communication skills, both in English and Filipino;
- Additional local language/s is/are preferred

Job Description
- Conduct research (both process and output) pertaining to one of the major output of projects; Co-lead and facilitate development & implementation of IEC materials for various stakeholders that gender sensitive and inclusive;
- Facilitate and conduct relevant capacity building activities related to implementation of EWS-L and setting-up CBEWS-L;
- Produce, edit, and distribute content, including publications, press releases, articles, reports, guidelines, modules, presentations, social media releases, brochures, and other materials that showcase the Project’s activities, products, and services
- Develop and implement communication strategies identified in communication plan; Coordinate activities and output with relevant teams pertaining to communication strategies for public awareness & advocacy, response capacity initiatives;
- Conduct pre- and post- fieldwork administrative tasks;
- Conduct work related to implementation of early warning system protocol; Perform other duties that may be required by the Project;
- Participate in meetings and workshops facilitated for the whole Project;

Educational Background
- Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Mass Communications, Development Communication, Community Development; or related fields
Experience/Training/Competency
- At least two (2) years experience and skills in developing IEC campaigns, communication & visibility materials, preferably with skills in social media management and analytics, and media engagement
- knowledge in running social media campaigns
- has skills on communication research, IEC development, and facilitate training/workshop;
- demonstrate good communication skills, both in English and Filipino; additional local language/s is/are preferred
- A strong media network is an advantage
- Proficient in video editing programs preferably Final Cut Pro X (Adobe Premiere is okay)
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
Two (2) Project Administrative Assistant V for Administrative Team
Monthly Salary: PhP 40,612
Job Description
- Assist in the day -to- day operations of the admin team;
- Facilitate procurement of supplies, services, and equipment;
- Conduct periodic property inventory;
- Management and maintenance of the office;
- Processing of monthly staff compensation and other human resource related concerns;
- Perform errands related to administrative support for the Project;
- Assist in the conduct of seminars and consultations;
- Conduct pre- and post-fieldwork administrative tasks;
- Conduct work related to the implementation of early warning system protocol

Educational Background
- Bachelor's degree in any 4 year course, preferably in management or accounting
Experience/Training/Competency
- preferably, with at one (1) year administrative experience in a government project; with prior clerical work experience
