Name of Project: Liquefaction Hazard Mapping and Research in the Philippines (LiquePhi Project)
Contract Duration: January - June 2024
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparation of pre- and post-fieldwork coordination and data preparation and collection
- Assist in data collection during fieldworks
- Use GIS software to create and manipulate vector files, automate processes, and develop workflows related to liquefaction hazard assessment and research
- Assist in writing technical reports and creating technical review presentations
- Assist in building and populating databases
- Contribute ideas during meetings and reviews
- Perform other functions as may be assigned from time to time, including involvement in other projects
Educational background:
Graduate of BS Geology, BS Geography, BS Geodetic Engineering or related degrees
Experience/Training/Competencies:
- Knowledgeable in any GIS software
- Basic knowledge in data management and Microsoft office
- Basic mapping skills
- Basic science research, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Good technical report writing skills
