- NCR Quezon City - Seismic and Tsunami Network Operations Section of the Seismological Observation and Earthquake Prediction Division


Job Description:

- Reports directly to the STNO Section Head and Division Head of the Seismological Observation and Earthquake Prediction Division (SOEPD)

- Gather and compiles earthquake and tsunami-related data and assist in its interpretation and analyses

- Operates, maintains, and repairs earthquake and sea-level monitoring instruments and data transmission systems

- Assist in the design, modification, and fabrication of monitoring instruments, accessories & other necessary modules

- Participate in the daily monitoring of earthquake and tsunami

- Deals with the conscientious handling, processing and provision of information for earthquake & tsunami monitoring warning and advisory

- Writes technical, data & activity reports submitted to direct supervisors

- Willing and fit to travel and be permanently assigned in any area in the Philippines

- Performs other functions as may be assigned by the supervisor.


Training:

- 4 hours of relevant training



Experience:

- 1 year of relevant experience

- Career Service (Sub-Professional) First Level Eligibility


Educational Background:
- Completion of 2 years studies in college.
- Graduates of BS Engineering, Computer/ Information Technology or any physical science-related courses are encouraged to apply.
