Educational Background: BS Geology
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides assistance in field data gathering such as monitoring of river channel morphology using drone and kinematic surveys, among others.
2. Assists in the acquisition of rainfall and other hydrological data, communication with lGUs related to the lahar monitoring activities.
3. Perform GIS-related tasks including digitization of primary and secondary data related to qualitative and quantitative volcanic hazards research and assessment.
4. Prepares project related administrative papers.
5. Conduct collection, compilation and digitization of primary and secondary data related to the qualitative and quantitative volcanic hazards research and assessment.
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/COMPETENCIES:
- Basic background In Geology, Geomorphology, Stratigraphy, Geochemistry, and Petrology/Petrography.
- Close attention to details (above average).
- With field mapping skills (basic to intermediate).
- Basic background In GIS (preferably ArcGIS) is an advantage.
- Technical Report Writing (basic to intermediate).
- Can work with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrates good communication and interpersonal skills.
