One (1) Project Technical Specialist I

 

Project Name: ACER Project 4: Deterministic Ground Shaking and Earthquake-Induced Landslide Hazard Modeling UsingGeophysics, Remote Sensing, and Artificial Intelligence

 

Contract of Duration: March - December 2024

 

Educational Background:
- Graduate of BS Applied Physics, Geodetic Engineering, Computer Science, IT or other related course

 

Duties And Responsibilities:
1. Conducts earthquake hazards mapping and research using geophysical, geomorphological, geologic and AI techniques and instrumentation
2. Manages, consolidates, analyzes/interprets, processes data related to earthquake hazards, including remote sensing data.
3. Explores techniques on AI, geophysics and remote-sensing and contribute to developing up-to-date methodologies
4. Writes reports, procedures and publishable papers
5. Operates/maintains/builds databases
6. Implements project activities and work plans
7. Presents results in written and oral manner
8. Performs other tasks related to the program that may be assigned from time to time

 

Experience/Training/Competencies:
1. Able, willing, and fit to travel and conduct fieldworks
2. Intermediate field mapping and GIS skills
3. Able to communicate well with coworkers, partners, and stakeholders
4. Able to manage work schedule and project activities
5. With good technical writing and presentation skills
6. Programming skill is an advantage
7. With sound understanding of research topic principles and methodologies related to earthquake sources and effect
- EIL: Preferably with experience in geotechnical engineering, geology/geological engineering
