Project Title: Earthquake Ground Shaking and Landslide Information and Research in Philippines (SLIP) – Archive Component
Employment Status: Contract of Services under Geophysics Research and Development Division (GGRDD) - EGGRDS
Contract Duration: April 02-June 30, 2024
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Knowledge in GIS software to create and manipulate vector files, automate routine processes and develop and manage workflows.
2. PGA modelling and GIS modelling using REDAS
3. Database management and development of schema.
4. Conduct R&D and assist in writing technical reports.
5. Other tasks related to the completion of this project
6. The staff will conduct fieldwork, if needed.
Educational Background
Graduates of BS Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or any physical science-related fields are encouraged to apply.
Experience/Training/Competencies:
1. Knowledgeable in any GIS software
2. Good technical report writing skills
3. Background in geomorphology, geology, and landslide modeling
4. Basic science research, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
5. Basic knowledge in data management and Microsoft Office

Employment Status: Contract of Services under Geophysics Research and Development Division (GGRDD) - EGGRDS
Contract Duration: April 02 - June 30, 2024
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Knowledge in GIS software to create and manipulate vector files, automate routine processes and develop and manage workflows.
2. EIL Hazard modelling using ArcGIS
3. Compile landslide (earthquake and rain-induced landslide) inventory database, and assists in building database schema and developing methods for landslide analysis
4. Conduct RS interpretations for landslides and for other related studies
5. Conduct R&D and assist in writing technical reports.
6. Other tasks related to the completion of this project
7. The staff will conduct fieldwork, if needed.
Educational Background
Graduates of BS Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or any physical science-related fields are encouraged to apply.
Expereince/Training/Compentencies:
1. Knowledgeable in any GIS software
2. Good technical report writing skills
3. Background in geomorphology, geology, and landslide modeling
