Monthly Salary: Php 37,584.00/month
Project Title: ACER Project 4: Deterministic Ground Shaking and Earthquake-Induced Landslide Hazard Modeling Using
Geophysics, Remote Sensing, and Artificial Intelligence
Contract Duration: April-December 2024
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Conducts earthquake hazards mapping and research using geophysical, geomorphological, geologic and AI techniques and instrumentation
2. Assists in the analysis and interpretation of processed data
3. Carries out research methods and activities in the project plan
4. Maintains equipment/instruments
5. Assists in writing of reports and publishable papers
6. Assists in operation/population/maintenance of databases
7. Assists in administrative tasks concerning the project
8. Presents results in written and oral manner
9. Performs other tasks related to the program that may be assigned from time to time
Educational Background:
- Graduate of BS Geology or related earth science courses, Physics, or Engineering
Experience/Training/Competencies:
1. Able, willing and fit to travel and conduct fieldworks
2. Basic field mapping and GIS skills
3. Able to communicate well with coworkers, partners and stakeholders
4. Able to manage work schedule and project activities
5. With good technical writing and presentation skills
6. Programming skill is an advantage
7. With sound understanding of research topic principles and methodologies related to earthquake sources and effect
• EIL: Basic knowledge in geotechnical engineering, geology/geological engineering
