Brief Description of the Position:
- Act as the Officer-in-Charge of the PHIVOLCS Tagaytay Nirror Station for Earthquake and Tsunami Monitoring (PTMSET)
- Ensure the 24/7 uptime of Tagaytay Seismic Station and assist in its data interpretation and analyses for timely issuance of accurate Earthquake Information (EQInfo) and Earthquake Catalogue
- Ensure the complete gathering and receipt of the 24-hour data recorded from all Luzon seismic stations including other earthquake and tsunami-related information
- Assisst in the operations, maintenance and repairs of earthquake and tsunami stations within Tagaytay's area of responsibility
- Participate in the daily monitoring of earthquake and tsunami
- Deal with the conscientious handling, processing and provision of earthquake and tsunami monitoring, warning and advisory
- Assist in the design, modification and fabrication of monitoring instruments, accesories and other necessary module
- Act as resource person for lectures/meetings and media interviews
- Write technical, data and activity reports submitted to direct supervisors of to the Director
