Brief Description of the Position:
- Develop methods and tools through research that will enhance the GeoRiskPH system and other platforms;
- Initiates R&D in RS, GIS, 3D visualization etc. for the improvement of products and services of GeoRiskPH system and other platforms;
- Drives advancements in creating higher-value maps and analysis for PHIVOLCS and for other agencies and organizations for related assessments;
- Assists the Senior Science Research Specialist in disseminating information and engaging with partner agencies for GeoRiskPH;
- Leads and assist in the development of training modules for GeoMapper and other workshop materials that may be needed platforms;
- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders in the development and maintenance of the National Exposure Database and other initiatives started by GeoRiskPH;
- Conduct fieldworks and lectures;
- Publishes papers in peer-reviewed journals;
- Performs other functions as may be assigned
