Differential Interferometric Satellite Aperture Radar (DInSAR) analysis of the 2020 Magnitude 6.6 Masbate Earthquake, using satellite data taken last August 14 and 20, reveals ground deformation, which may be a combination of vertical and horizontal ground displacements, between 20-30 cm to the west of the epicenter. Further analysis will be conducted as new satellite data are acquired.
Result of DInSAR analysis complements the field verified ground rupture documented by the DOST-PHIVOLCS Quick Response Team.
