The DOST-PHIVOLCS used computer simulations of the Kanlaon Volcano ash emission on December 23, 2024 to guide ashfall impact mapping in the communities. These maps were generated using plume height data from DOST-PHIVOLCS and a volume of 3 million- and 5 million- cubic meters, and an eruption duration of 2 hours.

Protect yourself from ashfall, know what to do BEFORE, DURING, and AFTER an ASHFALL, check: https://www.phivolcs.dost.gov.ph/index.php/volcano-hazard/volcano-preparedness
